1. Overview

This policy explains how Valoteam ("Valoteam", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit valoteam.com or otherwise interact with us as described below. It does not cover data processed on behalf of our clients through Rhythm, Echo, Barometer, Elevate, Blueprint, or Pulse — that processing is governed by the separate agreement in force with each client, and the client is the data controller.

We aim to write in plain language. Where legal terms carry specific meaning under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA/CPRA, or comparable laws, we use those terms consistently.

2. Who we are

Valoteam is the trading name of Cloud & Beyond, a company registered in NJ, with a principal place of business at 103 Carnegie Center, Suite 300, Princeton, NJ 08540, United States.

For any privacy question, you can reach our privacy team at privacy@valoteam.com.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you email us, request a demo, or otherwise contact us, we receive the information you choose to share — typically your name, email address, organisation, role, and the content of your message. If you attach documents, we receive those too.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our hosting infrastructure and (subject to your consent) analytics tools may record standard technical information: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring page, pages visited, and time-and-date stamps. We use this to keep the site working, to protect it from abuse, and — where you've consented — to understand usage.

Information we do not collect

We do not build advertising profiles about visitors to this site. We do not sell personal information. We do not run behavioural tracking across other websites.

4. Cookies

Cookies are small text files a site places on your browser. We use them in two categories:

  • Essential cookies. Required to remember your cookie choice itself and to keep the site running securely. These are set without a separate consent because they're strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for.
  • Analytics cookies (optional). Set only if you click "Accept all" in the cookie banner. These help us understand which pages people read, how they arrived, and where the site is confusing. You can withdraw consent at any time from the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this website.

If you'd like a specific list of cookie names, expirations, and providers, we'll publish it once we activate analytics. Until then, no analytics cookies are set — the banner records your preference for the future.

5. How we use your information

We use the information described above to:

  • Reply to messages you send us and follow up on demo or partnership inquiries;
  • Operate, maintain, and secure the website;
  • Understand aggregate site usage and improve the site (only where you've consented to analytics);
  • Meet our legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.

Under GDPR and similar frameworks, our lawful bases are: (a) our legitimate interest in running and improving a professional website and responding to inquiries; (b) your consent, for optional analytics; and (c) legal obligation, where processing is required by law.

6. Third-party services

We use a small number of third-party services to run the site. When you visit valoteam.com, information about your visit may be shared with them for the specific purpose noted:

  • Website hosting. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which stores and serves the site and keeps standard access logs.
  • Google Fonts. The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which may involve Google receiving your IP address at load time. We're evaluating self-hosting the fonts to remove this dependency.
  • Analytics. We do not currently run analytics. If we activate a privacy-respecting analytics service in future (for example Plausible, Fathom, or a similar tool that doesn't build personal profiles), we'll update this policy and the cookie banner before it starts collecting data.

7. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers that operate infrastructure on our behalf under written contracts that require them to protect the information;
  • Professional advisers (accountants, lawyers, auditors) where necessary to run the business;
  • Authorities where we're required to disclose by law, court order, or valid legal process, and only to the extent required.

If Valoteam is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, personal information may be transferred to the acquiring entity, subject to the same protections described in this policy.

8. International data transfers

We are based in the United States and work with clients across multiple regions. Where we transfer personal information from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with data-transfer rules, we rely on approved safeguards — typically the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum — and apply additional technical and organisational measures where required.

9. Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, and then for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, tax, or reporting obligations. Typical retention:

  • Email correspondence: up to 3 years from last contact, unless you ask us to delete it sooner;
  • Server logs: 90 days;
  • Analytics data (once activated): as configured by the analytics tool and disclosed in this policy at that time.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over your personal information:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • Correction — ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your personal information;
  • Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your information in certain cases;
  • Portability — receive your information in a structured, machine-readable format;
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • Withdraw consent — withdraw consent for anything based on it (like optional analytics), at any time;
  • Complain — lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In the UK that is the ICO; in the EU, your national supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these, email privacy@valoteam.com. We'll respond within one month, and will ask for enough information to verify your identity before acting on the request.

11. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction — including encryption in transit, access controls, and ongoing review of our providers. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we'll notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.

12. Children's privacy

The Valoteam website is intended for professional audiences and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please email privacy@valoteam.com and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where the changes are material, provide additional notice — for example a banner on the site or an email to people who've contacted us. Continued use of the site after an updated policy takes effect means you've read the new terms.

14. Contact
